The SECRA Helmet is constructed from Modified High Impact Polyamide, providing all-around head protection against falling objects, electric shocks, electric arcs, and molten metal splashes. The helmet’s features include stroke absorption, resistance to penetration, lateral deformation protection, and electrical shock defence. The integrated face shield fully retracts into the helmet when not in use and is equipped with a unique chin piece designed for ARC Flash hazard protection. The face shield meets optical class 1 standards and offers UV protection, high light transmission, anti-fogging properties, and protection against both thermal hazards from electric arcs and molten metal splashes.

Face Shield Features:
- Made from polycarbonate with anti-fog and anti-scratch coating
- Retracts fully into the helmet to prevent damage when not in use
- Unique chin piece for added protection during ARC Flash incidents
- Meets Optical Class 1 standards for:
- Optical properties, light transmission factor, and luminance factor of dispersed light
- UV protection (Protection level 2C – 1.2)
- Protection against thermal hazards of electric arcs (Class 2)
- VLT factor >75% (Class 0), Anti-fogging (N)
- Absorbs medium energy impacts (up to 120 m/s – 0.86g ball) (B)
- Protection against liquid drops and splashes (3), molten metal, and hot solids (9)
- Tested for thermal hazards of electric arcs (BOX TEST 7kA/0.5s)
The face shield is certified according to EN166 standards and additionally tested for ARC Flash in compliance with GS-ET-29. The IEC 61482-1-2 Box Test is also applied, ensuring the face shield meets the supplementary requirements for testing and certification specific to electrical work face shields.
