SebaKMT HPA 100 AC / HPA 130 DC
The AC Test Set HPA 100 is a powerful test system capable of generating high-voltage AC signals up to 100 kVrms at 50 Hz. It is designed for use in cable test vans and is used for testing cable systems and burning down high-resistance cable faults. The test set can also be equipped with a rectifier attachment for DC testing up to 130 kV. It has a low own noise level, making it suitable for voltage source applications in partial discharge (PD) measurements.
Powerful High-Voltage test system up to 100 kVrms AC 50 Hz
The AC Test Set HPA 100 is a very powerful test set which has been designed for installation in cable test van. It can be used for testing of cable systems and for burning down high-resistance cable faults with a high breakdown voltage. The test set can be equipped with a rectifier attachment for DC testing up to 130 kV. Since the own noise level of the test system is below 1pC, it is also suitable as a voltage source for PD measurements.
The control unit HSG 10 – 1 is used for controlling the HTR 100 high voltage transformer. The HSG 10 – 1 control unit consists of a variac, test meters (for displaying the current and voltage), operational components (for high voltage spark gap), a timer (for the test duration) and a safety circuit.
The low voltage winding can be constantly excited from zero to the maximum value so that a certain output is accessible for a pre-determined period. The operating duration will depend largely on the application. It usually ranges from a few minutes to constant operation.
The test transformer is single-pole insulated and mounted in an insulated cylinder with top and bottom flanges. The insulation material is primarily oil impregnated paper.
