Fluke 233 True RMS Remote Display Digital Multimeter
The Fluke 233 solves a problem every electrician knows: the place you need to take a reading and the place you can safely watch the display are often not the same. Its detachable display lifts off the meter body and works wirelessly up to 10 metres away, so you can leave the probes in a panel, a hard-to-reach junction or a moving machine and read the result from a safe, comfortable distance. Attach the display back onto the body and it works as a conventional True RMS multimeter.
Supplied by Powerpoint Engineering as an authorised Fluke distributor, the 233 is True RMS for accurate readings on non-linear signals and rated CAT III 1000 V and CAT IV 600 V for industrial use.
What the Fluke 233 offers
- Removable display that works wirelessly up to 10 m from the measurement point, over the 2.4 GHz ISM band
- True RMS AC voltage and current, plus DC, resistance, continuity, capacitance and frequency
- Magnetic back and flat base, so the display mounts or stands wherever you can see it
- Long battery life of around 400 hours from standard LR6 cells
Where the remote display earns its keep
The wireless display is not a gimmick. It keeps you out of the arc-flash boundary while you read, lets one person take readings that used to need two, and makes measurements possible in enclosures, cabinets and rotating-machine setups where you cannot watch a fixed display and hold the probes at the same time. For maintenance and fault-finding in awkward or live environments, that changes how the job is done.

Calibration and support
- Supplied and supported in Ireland by an authorised Fluke distributor
- Available with or without a calibration certificate
- For a conventional handheld, see the Fluke 179
Because this listing ships without a certificate, the simplest route to compliance is to calibrate it through our calibration and repair laboratory. Full figures are on the official Fluke 233 datasheet and across the wider Fluke digital multimeter range.
FAQs
How far can the display be from the Fluke 233 meter body?
Up to 10 metres, over the 2.4 GHz ISM band, without measurement interference. That lets you place the probes safely and read the result from a distance or a more convenient position.
Can the Fluke 233 work as a normal multimeter?
Yes. With the display attached to the body it operates as a conventional True RMS multimeter, so you only use the wireless feature when the job calls for it.
What does "without calibration" mean for this Fluke 233?
It means the meter is supplied without a calibration certificate. The instrument is identical; if your work needs traceable evidence, we can calibrate it in our own lab and issue a certificate.
