Fluke 175 True RMS Digital Multimeter

The Fluke 175 is the baseline True RMS digital multimeter in the Fluke 170 series, the everyday meter for troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electronic systems. True RMS means it reads AC voltage and current accurately even on the non-linear loads common in modern installations, where an averaging meter would mislead you. Independently tested to CAT III 1000 V and CAT IV 600 V and backed by a lifetime warranty, it is built to be the meter you reach for first.

Supplied by Powerpoint Engineering as an authorised Fluke distributor, this listing is for the instrument without a calibration certificate. If you need traceable calibration, our in-house laboratory can supply it.

What the Fluke 175 measures

  • True RMS AC voltage and current, plus DC voltage and current
  • Resistance, continuity and diode test
  • Capacitance and frequency
  • Min, max and average to capture changing readings over time

Where the 175 fits in the 170 series

The 175 covers the core measurements without the extras of its siblings. If you want a backlit display and faster measurement, the Fluke 177 steps up, and the Fluke 179 adds a built-in thermometer so you can take temperature readings without carrying a second instrument. All three share the same rugged design and safety rating.

FAQs

Does the Fluke 175 have a backlight?

No. A backlit display is a feature of the 177 and 179. If you regularly work in dim plant rooms or risers, the 177 or 179 is the better choice; otherwise the 175 covers the same core measurements.

What does "without calibration" mean for this Fluke 175?

It means the meter is supplied without a calibration certificate. The instrument itself is identical; if your work needs traceable evidence, we can calibrate it in our own lab and issue a certificate.

Why does True RMS matter?

True RMS meters read AC accurately on non-linear loads such as drives, electronics and switching supplies. An averaging meter can under-read or over-read on those loads, which is why True RMS is the professional standard.
