Fluke 1746 Three-Phase Power Quality Logger

The Fluke 1746 is a three-phase power quality logger that captures all the relevant power parameters for energy saving studies and electrical network planning. It sits in the middle of the 1740 series, above the load-study 1742 and below the detailed 1748, and like both it measures to the IEC 61000-4-30 Class A Edition 3 standard for reliable, repeatable and comparable results. A comprehensive software package and a user-friendly interface make logging set-up quick and data download effortless.

Supplied by Powerpoint Engineering as an authorised Fluke distributor, the 1746 ships with iFlex current probes and works with Fluke Energy Analyze Plus, with WiFi and Fluke Connect for remote review. It carries a full upgrade option to 1748 functionality.

What the Fluke 1746 measures

  • Three-phase and neutral voltage and current to IEC 61000-4-30 Class A Edition 3
  • Power, energy and power factor across the installation
  • Harmonics and the power quality parameters needed for network planning
  • Real-time review through Fluke Connect, with WiFi and USB download

Where the 1746 earns its place

The 1746 is the logger for teams who need genuine power quality data, not just energy figures, but who do not need the full waveform-level detail of the 1748. Its robust, compact design and versatile software suit troubleshooting power quality issues, monitoring and logging energy use, and validating the performance of electrical equipment across a site.

Upgrade

To 1748 functionality

Fluke 1746 compared with the 1742 and 1748

Choose the 1746 for power quality logging, energy saving studies and network planning. The Fluke 1742 is the simpler load and energy logger, and the Fluke 1748 adds over 500 parameters per averaging period and event waveform capture for root-cause analysis.

Calibration and support

  • Supplied and supported in Ireland by an authorised Fluke distributor
  • Calibrated and repaired in our own lab with traceable certificates
  • Backed by on-site power quality monitoring survey services

Keep the logger accurate through our calibration and repair laboratory. Full figures are on the official Fluke 1742, 1746 and 1748 datasheet and across the wider Fluke power quality range.

FAQs

What can the Fluke 1746 do that the 1742 cannot?

The 1746 captures fuller power quality parameters for energy saving studies and electrical network planning, where the 1742 is aimed at simpler load and energy studies. Both measure to Class A, and the 1742 can be upgraded to 1746 capability.

Is the Fluke 1746 a Class A instrument?

Yes. It measures to IEC 61000-4-30 Class A Edition 3, which defines the measurement methods and accuracy needed for reliable, repeatable and comparable power quality results.

Does the Fluke 1746 need regular calibration?

Yes. To keep power quality measurements traceable and defensible, calibrate the logger on a set interval. Our in-house laboratory calibrates and repairs Fluke loggers and issues traceable certificates.
