Fluke 1730 Three Phase Energy Logger
The Fluke 1730 is a three phase energy logger for discovering where electrical energy is used and wasted across a site. It automatically logs voltage, current, power, power factor and energy over a measurement period, so you build a clear picture of consumption and load profile without standing over the instrument. Rated 600 V CAT IV and 1000 V CAT III, it is built to connect safely at the service entrance and downstream.
Supplied by Powerpoint Engineering as an authorised Fluke distributor, the 1730 ships with three flexible current probes and works with Fluke Energy Analyze Plus, the application software for download, analysis and reporting.
What the Fluke 1730 logs
- Voltage, current and power on all three phases and neutral
- Energy, power factor and displacement power factor
- Total harmonic distortion, harmonic spectrum and unbalance
- Voltage events such as dips, swells and interruptions, captured automatically
From data to a report
Energy Analyze Plus turns logged data into useful output. Download by USB stick or cable, then analyse every measured detail of energy consumption and produce automated reports. One-touch reporting builds standardised reports to standards such as EN 50160, and you can export to PQDIF or CSV for third-party software. The result is evidence you can act on, the basis of an energy reduction project or a tariff discussion.

Where the 1730 fits in the range
The 1730 is the dedicated energy logger for load and consumption studies. If you also need deeper power measurement and a built-in display, look at the Fluke 1732 power logger and the Fluke 1734 energy logger, which step up to fuller power quality monitoring.
Calibration and support
- Supplied and supported in Ireland by an authorised Fluke distributor
- Calibrated and repaired in our own lab with traceable certificates
- Backed by power quality and energy monitoring survey services
Keep the logger accurate through our calibration and repair laboratory. Full details are on the official Fluke 1730 software and support page and across the wider Fluke power and energy logger range.
FAQs
What is the difference between an energy logger and a power quality logger?
An energy logger like the 1730 focuses on consumption, load profile and basic power values to find energy waste. A power quality logger adds deeper analysis of disturbances such as harmonics, flicker and transients, used for compliance and fault diagnosis rather than energy management.
Do I need software to use the Fluke 1730?
The instrument logs on its own, but Fluke Energy Analyze Plus is how you download data, analyse it and produce reports. It supports USB download and one-touch standardised reporting, and the software is part of the package.
Does the Fluke 1730 need regular calibration?
Yes. To keep measurements traceable for energy and tariff decisions, calibrate the logger on a set interval. Our in-house laboratory calibrates and repairs Fluke loggers and issues traceable certificates.
