The Megger ODEN AT/2S (formerly Programma) is a primary current injection test system for testing protective relay equipment and circuit breakers on 400 V three-phase supply. The system consists of a control unit and two S current units, delivering up to 1900 A continuously, 4000 A for three minutes, or 13 kA for one second (with units in parallel). The ODEN AT is specially designed for primary injection testing of low voltage circuit breakers, turns ratio measurement of current transformers, heat runs, and ground grid integrity testing. The modular design permits optimal user configuration of output current vs unit size, and the compact transport cart facilitates portability into switchgear rooms with limited space.

Technical specifications
The ODEN AT/2S system consists of a control unit and two S current units on a compact cart. Current units can be connected in parallel (higher current, lower voltage) or in series (higher voltage, lower current). Maximum current also depends on the impedance of the test circuit.

Applications
The ODEN AT/2S handles primary injection testing of low voltage circuit breakers (below 1000 V AC), with output synchronised to the zero-crossover point for repeatable results. Long time, short time, and instantaneous trip times are measured directly. The system also tests circuit breakers with reclosing relays and sectionalisers, measuring partial times and operations before lockout.
For current transformer testing, the built-in ammeter displays turns ratio directly as the nominal value (for example, 1000/5), along with phase angle and polarity. An optional CT Switchbox (BH-90130) connects up to five secondary taps. The ODEN AT is also ideal for performing heat runs, as the current can be applied continuously or through programmable intervals, and for ground grid integrity testing.
Key features
Modular current unit configuration
An ODEN AT system consists of a control unit with one, two, or three current units in three versions: S (standard), X (with an additional 30/60 V output), and H (rated for even higher current). The S and X current units are identical except for the extra output on the X. All parts are portable, and the ODEN AT can be quickly assembled and connected. For 240 V supply applications, the Megger ODEN A/2S (240 V) is also available.
Measurement and control
The control unit features a powerful measurement section that can display turns ratio, time, current, and voltage simultaneously. A second measurement channel can measure an additional current or voltage. The ODEN AT calculates impedance, resistance, power, power factor, and phase angle. The unique I/30 function allows the current to be preset using low current to prevent test sample heating before full injection begins.
What is included
A cart (Art. No. 50-00092) and high-current serial bar are included with the ODEN AT/2S. Cable sets for connection to the object under test must be ordered separately. Multi-cable high current cable sets are available with 2, 3, 4, or 6 parallel cables in lengths from 0.5 m to 2 m.
Frequently asked questions
What current can the ODEN AT/2S generate at 400 V?
In parallel (6 V), the system generates up to 1900 A continuously, 4000 A for three minutes, and 13 kA for one second. In series (12 V), output is 900 A continuously, 2000 A for three minutes, and 6000 A for one second. Maximum current is also limited by the impedance of the test circuit.
What is the difference between S, X, and H current units?
The S and X current units are identical except the X unit has an additional 30/60 V output for ground grid testing and higher-voltage applications. The H unit is rated for even higher current. All three versions fit the same control unit, so you can configure the ODEN AT system to match your requirements.
Can the ODEN AT test medium and high voltage circuit breakers?
The primary application is testing low voltage circuit breakers (below 1000 V). Medium and high voltage circuit breakers require a dedicated circuit breaker analyser.
