Coronavirus (COVID-19) is an infectious disease spread from person to person in sneeze or cough droplets. You are at risk of contracting the virus if you have been in close contact with someone who has the virus and is coughing or sneezing. This may be direct or indirect (on hands, objects, surfaces). Wearing a face mask helps prevent people who may be unaware that they have coronavirus from spreading it to others.
Responding to the threats posed by COVID-19, we have IN STOCK large quantities of respiratory protection products including a variety of highly effective face masks. These masks are readily available for despatch and include 3-Ply protective masks, KN95 masks (Protection class FFP2), FFP3 masks and washable face masks.
In circumstances where it may be difficult to practice social distancing it is particularly advisable to wear a face mask. For example, in work environments, shops, on public transport, when visiting anyone who is more at risk of contracting coronavirus or in any enclosed indoor space with other people.
Different types of mask offer different levels of protection. Surgical grade N95 respirators and surgical grade masks provide the highest level of protection against Covid-19 infection. However, these masks are generally reserved for health workers or those who are in the high risk category or contracting the virus. Single use masks or reusable cloth face masks also contribute greatly in reducing the transmission of Covid-19.

Before putting on a mask, please ensure that you clean your hands thoroughly with soap and water. Cover your mouth and nose with the mask and make sure that there are no gaps between your face and the mask. Do not touch the mask while in use. If you do so, wash your hands immediately.
To remove your face mask, remove it using the elastic tags, without touching the front of the mask and dispose of it immediately into a closed bin. If the mask is reusable, place it directly into the washing machine.
While wearing a mask is important in preventing the spread of coronavirus, you should also continue to practice:
- social distancing where possible
- washing your hands thoroughly and regularly
- ensuring you cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve while coughing and sneezing
- not touching your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean
